The Nguyen School of Tae Kwon Do has been in the Burnsville area since 1992 and is one of many activities offered through Independent School District 191 Community Education. We are under the direction of 5th Dan Master Instructor David Lee. Our school is affiliated with the International Black Belt Federation (IBBF) and the World Tae Kwon Do Federation (WTF) based in Seoul, South Korea which assures students of legitimate and internationally recognized certification.

At Nguyen School of Tae Kwon Do, we offer classes to students in ages from 6 to 76. We offer Youth, Adult and Family programs. Classes are divided according to age and/or ability/experience. Class size is limited to no more than 25 students to assure that each student will have the individual attention that he/she needs. Our certified instructors find and bring out the best abilities of the student as he/she master the art.

Each class begins with a series of warm-ups, stretching and fitness exercises. The remaining class time is used to practice the requirements in preparation for belt rank promotion, kicking drills, self-defense, and forms and sparring practice for tournament competition. Emphasis is placed on what goals each student wants to achieve.
